Trinity Church’s Together Women’s Conference was birthed out of our Girlfriends Women’s Ministry. Girlfriends began in 2005 in an effort to bring together women from diverse backgrounds and cultures and seasons of life within a fun-filled, spiritually-charged atmosphere where we could impart something relevant and valuable into their lives.

Our first Girlfriends event had nearly 300 in attendance and was held at a local smaller facility. Nearly 26 events, and 10 years later, we now see over 1,000 in attendance at each event from all across the South Dallas area. Women from all walks of life – young and old, single and married – have come to represent the makeup of what Girlfriends is all about.

While our one-night Girlfriends gatherings are a wonderful offering for the women of our community, we’ve always longed to offer so much more! Since Jim and I started pastoring Trinity Church about 20 years ago, there has been a dream on my heart to host larger women’s conferences for women from South Dallas and beyond for an extended ‘Girlfriends’ experience marked by the presence and power of God we’ve made room for at Trinity Church.

In 2015, the first annual Together Women’s Conference became a reality. We chose this name because we recognize that we are a much more powerful force as we work together with God and our sisters to-get-her. Whoever SHE is. A single mom. A business executive. A lonely widow. A powerful preacher girl. A victim of trafficking. This annual gathering is a strategic response to God’s passionate pursuit of women’s hearts.

Girlfriends is now becoming a movement of women from all walks of life who are determined to come together—in a Holy Spirit-led sisterhood—to nurture and revive families and communities. 

This God-given dream of bringing women together to encounter God’s healing and empowering love has been spurred on by several prophetic words we have received throughout the years. You may read some of them here.

We long to be a vehicle of transformation in our community, the marketplace and beyond, as we embrace women from all walks of life. We live by a mandate of action flowing out of a living experience with Holy Spirit, helping women realize their value, purpose, and destiny in God’s master plan. Our heart is to encourage and empower women to find their place and live the fruitful life God destines for them.

The heartbeat of our ministry is simple:

• Our culture is SERVICE.

• Our spirit is INCLUSIVE.

• Our actions are INTENTIONAL.

We cross generations and cultures, we are relevant, and we bring restoration.

We are making a difference in our church, our community, and our world.
